There are many reviews on Internet and I dont wanna put another on ... (Iam not qualified for a revieer too..)

This are my views on the movie...

The movie story is damn good and proves its point. It might not look good for a regular viewer of movies that the hero(or heroes) of the movie dies, but the director did not back on this and proved his mettle. The way he shifted between the history and present is dan good. The reflection of the youth pre-independence and afterindependence is good. Awesome work by the director, editor and the story writer.

Next comes the dialogues and screenplay. Dialogues are damn good. Amir khan simply dominated his punjabi accent. I particularly liked one seen when Pandey has to say sorry to Aslam, the screenplay for that shot explains all the expertise. The director cldnt have done better

Next comes the perfomance . There are some major perfomances of all the characters..

Amir Khan is as asual is dominating. In the scene where he breaks down and starts crying is awesome. The Khan showed why he is the most sought actor. Who cld have done better than him in that scene.. ? Then his punjabi accent is damn good . This explains his coming into the scene of the character.. There are some scenes where he practices a dialogue is good. I was expecting a Amir dominant movie. That didnt happen. Everybody had their roles clear and infact Amir was only another character in the movie.


Alice Patten is good but there is nothing raving abt the perfomance

Siddharth as Karan is perfect. Sidhdharth is the stylish guy going on smoking and he enacted well. Being a southie i follow him in his movies, but all the movies he acted till now are the funky type of roles. He acted seriously and good in the movie. The way he enacts the final scenes are good. He has a good future in hindi movies too.. (This guy is talented.. he was an assistant director with mani rathnam.. sings and also dances well)

Karan Kapoor as Aslam is good.. He looks like lost and sentimental.. He suited perfectly in the role

Then comes Sarman Joshi as Sukhi.. Let me tell u this .. Thsis is the best character i liked in this movie.. His dialogues are good and he was awesome in his role

Soha Ali Khan was also good , but i thought she was a weak link in this movie..

Madhavan had a small space to act

Atul Kulkarni as Laxman Pandy is erious and apt for such a role.

Music by A.R.Rahman is as usual upto expectation. But the way they picturised the songs was good. No song was like un-apt and all the songs were in the background. It was a relief for me.. Tell me who will be singing songs in real life .. That too also arroud trees?

Whats good abt the movie?
This is the best hindi movie i have seen in my life.. The technical aspects of the movie were good.. The casting was good.(There were no big stars in the movie except Amir..). There is a message.

Will it run?
Surely in A, B classes and good in US,Uk (The producer will surely get his money back and get profits). There are some movies like Gram Masala making profit .. Why not this??

Dont know whether its a good day or not .. but surely this is the last day for filing my graduation..

This surely is a bad sign for this quarter.. I havent done enuff of my research and the advisor iis not happy.. though he signed the form only as a favor..

Lets wait for some more time ..end of this quarter and see what happens...

Didnt get it going.. didnt file in the form itself... Was been thinking of it the whole day and finally shelved it for the next quarter..As i expected things dont really work on Friday the 13th
